World-renowned American artist Susan Renae Sampson was raised on a farm in Jackson County near Black River Falls, Wisconsin, and often incorporates her background and childhood memories into her art. A visit to her gallery will impress you with her flexibility and varied style of her work. Fresh forest scenes, country and contemporary originals cover the walls as a testament to Sampson's far ranging talent. Commissioned portraits are one of Sampson's favorite interest. She has painted many American icons, including Ronald Reagan, Charles Lindbergh, Vince Lombardi and Judy Garland as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, to name a few. These and other life-sized portraits (4' x 8') are on display at the Sampson's Art Gallery.

Sampson has been commissioned by many national associations and corporations including The Wisconsin Cranberry Growers, Anheuser-Busch, MGM-United Artists and Purina Corporation. Currently, Susan is working on historical murals that showcase the history of Jackson County and Wisconsin Rapids in Wisconsin.
